Project Needs – We support Project Needs Homeless Services and the Food Pantry throughout the year with gifts of food, personal hygiene needs, and clothing. You contribute to Project Needs Pantry an average of $150 -$200 value each week. We also continue our once a month preparation of hot meals for the homeless. We are only one organization donating to Project Needs, however, our weekly donations ensure that the pantry never goes dry. Project Needs and Social Action Board thank you sincerely for your weekly support. Our outreach reaches at least 250 families, 60+ homeless, and 80 Senior Citizen home-bound trailer park residents. Please keep up the great work you are doing. We encourage everyONE to bring ONE thing as we contribute to feed everyONE.

LONG BEACH GAY PRIDE PARADE – May 19 Join us for a joyous
celebration of our local South Bay LGBTQ+ community by walking in the Long
Beach Gay Pride Parade with our PFLAG friends on Sunday, 5/19! The route
is 1.2 miles, flat, overlooks the ocean and it’s a really FUN way to start the day!
We will leave by carpool at 8:30am from the back parking lot of the Church, or you can meet us in Long Beach. For further details and to sign up for this free event, contact Mary Lawler at 310-406-4240.


Book Drive for Foster Center – In partnership with Access Books, and as part of his National Honor Society service project, Colin Freelin is collecting books to donate to a Foster Care Center in Los Angeles.
Please bring any new an/or gently used books you would like to donate to the patio after Sunday services or to marked bins in front of the MBCC church and youth in Kindergarten to 8th Grade.

Welcome to MBCC! Our Children’s Spiritual Formation program builds a foundation of Christian values our young people can take with them for life. To have your children participate in our program please fill out this short registration form.

MBCC Visitor Table – Congratulations!  You are one of the extra friendly members at MBCC and we think you’d be great at working our visitor table a couple times a year 😉  It’s simple.  Set up the table just outside our front doors at around 9:40.  The table is usually in the narthex and the flyers to put on the table are in the bench on the way to the women’s restroom in the narthex. If you notice a potential visitor coming to church, simply say “Welcome!  Have we met?”  That should get the convo going.  If they are indeed a visitor, please have them scan the visitor QR code and fill it out and encourage them to find you after church to walk down to coffee hour together.  Thank you for our help in making MBCC the most welcoming church in the South Bay.

Be an Acolyte! – Thank you for being an Acolyte. Please sign up with your child’s name, but also include parent name. Please arrive at church by 9:45 to put on the robe and test a candlelighter. An usher can help you light your candlelighter. You will connect with Pastor Mike and/or Pastor Jodi as they will direct you to lead the procession at 10:00 to light the candles.
